Our Tube Tent is made of heavy 2.5 mil thickness polyethylene and is beefier than most other tube tents on the market. Many tube tents are 1.5 - 2 mils in thickness and will tear much easier. No poles to lug around or hassle with. Simply find two trees approximately 12' - 15' apart and use the included nylon cord to run through the center of the tube tent and tie each side to a tree.
Tube tents make an "A" frame, 8' long x 3' high, waterproof tent or shelter. Fits 1 person plus gear or 2 medium sized adults (snugly). Our tube tent is ideal for emergency or survival shelter. A low cost, lightweight alternative for Scouts overnight trips and family backpacking. Can also be used as a waterproof ground cloth, tarp, or signaling devise in an emergency.
The same tube tent we use in our survival 72 hour emergency kits. Unfolds to a triangular shelter in seconds. Lightweight and compact--only weighs 15 ounces. Bright international orange color. Can usually be used several times.

Storm watch suggestion. Because the sides are open, you may wish to take along a few clothes line pins (you know, those wooden squeezing pins used to hold clothes onto a clothes line… before gas/electric clothes dryers… now we're dating ourselves, huh).
